On Sarah Palin's Chances

Just finished reading "The Weekly Standard" article on Sarah Palin.  In light of the new Rasmussen poll, which puts Sarah at 42% (definitely not bad!), I'd say her chances are pretty good.  Her self-reliance, or rather her piety, have served her well thus far.  Who knows?  She could be President some day.  "He who hesitates is lost."  One thing about Mrs. Palin--she's not given to much hesitation. She is a man of action, so to speak.  She knows what it means to act, to not hesitate, to go for it.  That was her Golden Hour of Victory, July 3rd, 2009.  Some jealous female called her names.  Yes, she has a few choice names, alright:  Creative, Courageous, Calculating in a crazy-like-a-fox kind of way.  With that bi-plane behind her--and her family and friends--she said sincerely what she was about.  Our media--God bless them--are not prepared for quite this level of..."art."  Like a true artist, Sarah understands the Tradition AND her potential contribution to it.  And as time goes by, she will understand it even more.  McCain, like some Napoleon on the rampage, acted brilliantly, intuitively, in picking her.  He gravitated to her position for a reason.  She is a mirror of him just as he is a mirror of her.  They are both unconventional.  Both rely upon their instincts and their sense of the "moment."  To me, there is no doubt, now, that Palin is considering a run.  But she will not do it unless her instincts line up perfectly, more or less, with this hard-to-define "moment."
